The Woods family has been keeping Texans comfortable for years. Starting with C.A. Woods Jr., an engineer with Bryant Air Conditioning in Tyler, Texas who founded C. Woods Company in 1956.
In 1978, his son, C.A. “Carey”Woods III, upon his return from serving in the Navy, purchased J.P. Morrow Company, a full service heating and air conditioning company in Alice, TX. After 20 years, Carey sold his business in Alice, returned to Tyler and took over C. Woods Company from his retiring father.
In April of 2008, Carey sold the Tyler company to his employees with plans to retire in Central Texas. But with “freon in his veins” retirement was not to be. C.A. “Carey” Woods III once again began offering Texans his years of experience in the heating and air conditioning industry. With the opening of Woods Comfort Systems, Central Texas found a name they can trust….Woods.
In October of 2010, Christopher Alan Woods, who attended Texas State University, returned to San Marcos area to take over the company from his retiring father C.A. “Carey” Woods III continuing the family tradition.
