Jay Carlson came out to give us an inspection and estimate for an AC replacement. I had a few estimates done and was far more impressed and pleased with his inspection. He asked more questions about our home including things like if we had any air balance issues such as any rooms being warmer than others. We did, so he came up with a plan to address the issue in an affordable way. He also improved the air intake and filtration system for our air handler as it was seriously lacking for air intake. This was evident by our air filters always being sucked in and almost collapsed between frequent changes. Woods Comfort System cost marginally more than their competitors for just the system replacement on the estimate, but the system being installed was superior when comparing numbers side by side. It also came with an UV air cleaner at no additional cost, something the competitors did not include. With the improvements made to our entire AC system we are far better off than we were before and our air balance issue has been resolved. The issues brought up and resolved by Jay at Woods were not asked about or quoted by the other inspectors. All in all he did a thorough inspection and helped educate us on how to improve our home heating and cooling system. I was happy to go with Woods Comfort Systems over their competitors even if paying more due to the upgrades added to the system replacement. The upgrades were worth the cost.
