Reviews Overview — Why Our Customers Keep Coming Back

A Reputation Built on Results, Not Promises

Woods Comfort Systems has been earning the trust of Central Texas homeowners and businesses since 1956. The reviews you’ll find on this page — and on our Google and Facebook profiles — reflect what happens when a company consistently does what it says it’s going to do: honest pricing, quality workmanship, fast response, and real care for the people it serves.

The themes that come up again and again in our reviews are not accidental. They’re the result of nearly 70 years of operating with the same set of values:

These aren’t things we ask our team to do because they sound good on a review page. They’re the standard because that’s how the Woods family has always operated — and it’s why the same customers call us back year after year.

Why Reviews Matter — Our Commitment to Transparency

We Earn Your Trust Before We Ask for Your Business

Inviting a contractor into your home requires trust. Online reviews are one of the primary ways homeowners evaluate whether that trust is warranted — and we take them seriously.

We never pay for reviews. We never ask customers to remove negative feedback. And we never post fake reviews. Every review on our Google and Facebook profiles comes from a real customer who had a real experience with our team. That’s the only kind of social proof worth having.

When a review is less than five stars, we take it as an opportunity to learn and improve. If a customer has a concern, we want to hear about it — and address it directly. Honest feedback makes us better.

"Woods Comfort Systems… We Don't Have Branches, We Have Roots." — The relationships we build last.

Person on intake phone was knowledge, helpful and nice. Nat was the AC tech who was respectful of our property, quick to compliment us on the clean up and prep we had already done before his arrival. He explained his discoveries in clear language and was able to finish the repair timely.

On Saturday July 28th we returned home after being away for a few hours. The thermostat was set at 78 degrees. Upon entering the air was temped and the house felt warm, the blower fan was running and the thermostat read 85 degrees. I checked the air handler in the attic which was running and the outside heat pump unit which was also running! My son recommended Woods, so I Googled Woods and called for a service appointment expecting a significant wait as this was Saturday early afternoon. After speaking with your dispatcher, he advised me there was a technician in my area ( Oak Run in New Braunfels), and he would call when he was 30 min. away. Well about 10 minutes later I was informed the tech was enroute. William arrived in a short time. I was pleased to meet William, and he went straight to work after I explained my A/C's symptoms. verified the filter was clean, then evaluated the air handler in the attic. the blower fan was running but the unit was not cooling. He found the compressor ckt. beaker had tripped and reset it. The cooling air was felt in a few moments. He further checked the condenser unit and found Freon levels satisfactory but the hot side was too hot. The initial pressure over 435 psi. He further cleaned the condenser coils and removed the heavy compressor jacket. The pressure returned to an acceptable level and the system was cooling as expected. William was professional, extremely knowledgeable and friendly, a great combination. Keep up the great work! 4/8/2021 We noticed the the Heat Pump was not cooling enough. The compressor and the air handler were running as we could feel air flow at the cold air return. Called Woods and Carl Bohrer was dispatched and quickly diagnosed the problem. There was no refrigerant with a leak the condenser expansion valve and an aluminum tube was broken. Carl reported symptoms to the manager for repair plan as the Heat Pump is still under warranty. Carl did a GREAT job. He was courteous and professional and keep me informed on his progress. Later that same afternoon I was informed by the manager that a new replacement unit was going to be installed this afternoon. Sol Perez arrived and went straight to work! He quickly removed the old compressor unit and installed the new unit, by himself. Quite a task I must say. We had cold air in the house by late afternoon. Again Woods employs the best technicians. Sol was friendly and professional and also did a GREAT job. 4/12/2021 I received a call from manager Jody Wells at Woods. He advised that in the haste to provide us with an operational Heat Pump on that hot afternoon the week previous, they installed a unit that was lower a SEER rating than my original. So, they will coordinate with me to schedule a new install date. 4/13/2021 Monday Woods dispatcher called and we scheduled the new installed for Friday morning starting at 8-9 AM. This is GREAT customer service at the corporate level. 4/16/2021. I received a call from Chris at Woods who said he was on his way and he arrived by himself shortly after 8 AM. Super! Again I was impressed with Chris' demeanor. He introduced himself and went straight to work. He had a professional attitude, and friendly manner. He finished the install of the new compressor in a few hours. Checked out the entire system and ensured the NEST thermostat configured properly and assisted me with our personal settings. Chris did an Great job. I believe Woods hires the best. This young man is a keeper. I must also commend all the Dispatchers and Woods. All of you project a smile in your voice every time I call. You always seem to reassure the called that help is on the way!

First Experience with Woods Comfort System (Jaun) and it was a positive experience, detail review of what he was going to check/do and great documented list w/pics for each system once completed. Although not interested in more HVAC upgrades, he reviewed some suggested upgrades and provided the quotes. We will differently be continuing to have Woods Comfort System be our HVAC maintenance and service provider.
